What is MOLLE (a.k.a M.O.L.L.E)?
MOLLE is a military acronym which expands to "MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment". MOLLE is a version of load bearing gear used by the U.S. Military. MOLLE replaces the older ALICE system (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment). The goal is a higher level of compatibility for military and tactical gear. In theory, any MOLLE compatible component should work with or attach to any other piece of MOLLE gear.
